Welcome to the complex fluids group at Brandeis University. The groups of Profs. Zvonimir Dogic, Seth Fraden and Bob Meyer at Brandeis and collaborators Profs. Nolan Flynn and Yue Hu at Wellesley College study liquid crystals, colloids, self-assembly, macromolecular crowding, protein crystallization, microfluidics, granular rods, electrorheological fluids, virus suspensions, biopolymers, macromolecular suspensions, instabilities in liquid crystals, electro-optics of liquid crystals and other sundry topics.

We are members of the Brandeis Materials Research Science and Engineering Center in which interdisciplinary teams elucidate the role that material properties play in the structure and function of cells and exploit this knowledge to create new categories of materials.
